*sigh* — This is a very personal post for me only because I’m still in the twilight zone that I have to talk about my dear friend, Will “Ill Will” Walker (@illwill2), in the past tense. On the afternoon of February 9, 2011, D.C. lost a legend, when William “Ill Will” Walker lost his fight to kidney and heart disease after being sick for several years. In addition to being a 93.9 WKYS host and producer, Will was an overall humanitarian, and as a tribute to his legacy, Kenny Bud, Phat Cat, DJ Quicksilva, Dre The Mayor and RaRa all discussed their fondest memories at the Elite DC Awards.

Jive recording artist, Miguel (@migmoney), came through the DMV on Friday night for an intimate show at the legendary Birchmere. With his hit “All I Want Is You” (feat. J. Cole) still receiving continuous play, Miguel is currently headlining the ‘All I Want is You’ tour.
